Frequently Asked Questions.
PRICING:
Our fees vary based on several factors, including the age of your child, whether you need lunch or extended care, and other specific details. To get a rough estimate of the cost, please call or email us, and we’ll be happy to provide more information tailored to your situation.
CHURCH AFFILIATION:
We are a Christian family and attend church every Sunday. While we are not affiliated with the church where our daycare is located, we strive to honor God by doing our best at serving the families who trust their children to us with dedication and care. Our goal is to provide a nurturing and excellent environment for your little ones and to provide parents with a worry free childcare experience.
ENROLLMENT:
Our enrollment schedule aligns with the public school calendar. As children graduate and move on to kindergarten, we typically have openings for new families. Although our preschool class size is 10, on average, 7-8 children graduate each year, while others may stay a lil' longer. Availability for new spots can also be influenced by current families, therefore, the number of openings we have each year can vary.
DAYCARE SIZE:
Although we are permitted to accommodate up to 90 children, we intentionally limit our enrollment to 35. We believe that a smaller program fosters a more inclusive environment for both parents and children. This approach allows Little Roots to build a close-knit community where parents, kids, and teachers can connect more meaningfully and engage in a daycare experience with high levels of community involvement. This model is applied to all Little Roots locations.
DROP-IN CARE:
We no longer offer a drop-in service.
Ever since Covid-19, for cohort and sanitation reasons we removed drop-in from our list of services. There is no intention of restoring this service in our near future. We are sorry for the the inconvenience.
GRANT & SUBSIDY:
Yes - Little Roots is eligible for both the Government grant and Subsidy. The Government is automatically deducted our tuition and subsidy is dependent on a families claim.
INTAKE AGE:
We take kids from of 1 - 5 years old. We have observed that the earlier a child begins daycare, the greater the benefits for their development. Early enrollment provides children with opportunities to build social skills, such as communication and cooperation, while fostering emotional growth through secure attachments with caregivers. We encourage parents to enroll their kids as early as they can.
EMPLOYMENT:
We are always open-minded and excited to meet new team members. To make a great first impression, be sure to introduce yourself properly. Avoid cold calling and failing to introduce yourself, it may seem obvious, but it happens more often than you'd think. Additionally, don’t send an empty email with just your resume attached. A thoughtful introduction leaves a lasting impression.
