This program is a private joint venture between Little Roots and the Children’s Cottage to support children and families in preparing for school. This program serves as a foundation for additional services, including speech and occupational therapy, to assist neurodiverse and developmentally delayed children in achieving school readiness. Additionally, we provide support for parents to ensure a smooth transition for their children.
Opportunities to serve our community at this level are rare, and we have already witnessed remarkable progress among the children, particularly those with speech delay. Many begin the program as non-verbal, and since joining, they have made significant strides in their communication skills.
This program is entirely free for families, made possible through the generous support of our donors. If you would like to learn more or contribute to this initiative, please contact us by email.

I am a passionate Early Childhood Educator with many years of experience in a variety of childcare settings. I hold a Child Development Supervisor certificate and a diploma in Community Rehabilitation. Kindness and compassion are at the heart of my teaching philosophy. My goal is to make a positive impact on every child in my care by nurturing a love of learning, encouraging curiosity, and creating a fun, supportive environment for growth.
I am equally passionate about supporting families and building strong, trusting relationships with them. I believe that working together with parents and caregivers creates the best outcomes for children, and I value open communication and collaboration.
As a mother of three young adult children, I bring both professional experience and a personal understanding of child development and parenting. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors walking my dog, travelling and exploring new places, and making memories with my family.
“Children may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”
